today.<\/p><p data-start=\"721\" data-end=\"823\">When travel paused, Cinque chose to continue the conversation \u2014 allowing Greek wine to travel instead.<\/p><hr data-start=\"825\" data-end=\"828\" \/><h3 data-start=\"830\" data-end=\"872\"><strong data-start=\"834\" data-end=\"872\">Assyrtiko, Shared Across Countries<\/strong><\/h3><p data-start=\"874\" data-end=\"1069\">On March 10th, a virtual wine tasting dedicated to <strong data-start=\"925\" data-end=\"938\">Assyrtiko<\/strong>, Greece\u2019s most iconic white grape variety, was organized by Cinque Wine Bar Athens for the international <strong data-start=\"1044\" data-end=\"1068\">#winelover community<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"1071\" data-end=\"1281\">Tasting kits were carefully prepared, packaged and delivered to participants in <strong data-start=\"1151\" data-end=\"1180\">eight different countries<\/strong>, arriving safely and ready to be opened simultaneously \u2014 despite distance, borders and restrictions.<\/p><p data-start=\"1283\" data-end=\"1352\">The wines showcased Assyrtiko\u2019s diversity of expression, coming from:<\/p><ul data-start=\"1353\" data-end=\"1496\"><li data-start=\"1353\" data-end=\"1420\"><p data-start=\"1355\" data-end=\"1420\">the mainland vineyards of <strong data-start=\"1381\" data-end=\"1400\">Atalanti Valley<\/strong> in Central Greece<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1421\" data-end=\"1496\"><p data-start=\"1423\" data-end=\"1496\">and the volcanic island of <strong data-start=\"1450\" data-end=\"1463\">Santorini<\/strong>, the birthplace of the variety<\/p><\/li><\/ul><hr data-start=\"1498\" data-end=\"1501\" \/><h3 data-start=\"1503\" data-end=\"1542\"><strong data-start=\"1507\" data-end=\"1542\">When Knowledge Meets Experience<\/strong><\/h3><p data-start=\"1544\" data-end=\"1618\">The tasting was joined live by leading figures of Greek wine and oenology:<\/p><ul data-start=\"1620\" data-end=\"1966\"><li data-start=\"1620\" data-end=\"1699\"><p data-start=\"1622\" data-end=\"1699\"><strong data-start=\"1622\" data-end=\"1648\">Leonidas Hatzimichalis<\/strong>, owner of Domaine Hatzimichalis, Atalanti Valley<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1700\" data-end=\"1826\"><p data-start=\"1702\" data-end=\"1826\"><strong data-start=\"1702\" data-end=\"1729\">Giannis Paraskevopoulos<\/strong>, co-owner of Gaia Winery, Santorini, oenologist and Professor at the University of West Attica<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1827\" data-end=\"1966\"><p data-start=\"1829\" data-end=\"1966\"><strong data-start=\"1829\" data-end=\"1851\">Giorgos Kotseridis<\/strong>, Professor of Viticulture at the Agricultural University of Athens and consultant to Anhydrous Avantis Santorini<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"1968\" data-end=\"2097\">Together, they guided participants through terroir, vinification choices and the stylistic contrasts of Assyrtiko across regions.<\/p><p data-start=\"2099\" data-end=\"2272\">The discussion that followed allowed guests to exchange impressions, compare preferences and deepen their understanding of Greek terroir \u2014 all within a shared digital space.<\/p><hr data-start=\"2274\" data-end=\"2277\" \/><h3 data-start=\"2279\" data-end=\"2324\"><strong data-start=\"2283\" data-end=\"2324\">A Network Built to Deliver Experience<\/strong><\/h3><p data-start=\"2326\" data-end=\"2398\">What made this possible was not technology alone.<br data-start=\"2375\" data-end=\"2378\" \/>It was coordination.<\/p><p data-start=\"2400\" data-end=\"2592\">Cinque handled the preparation of small-format tasting bottles, the secure packaging and the international distribution of the kits \u2014 ensuring consistency, quality and timing data-start=\"3145\" data-end=\"3198\">a fresh mainland Assyrtiko by Domaine Hatzimichalis<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"3199\" data-end=\"3254\"><p data-start=\"3201\" data-end=\"3254\">a stainless-steel fermented Assyrtiko by Gaia Wines<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"3255\" data-end=\"3327\"><p data-start=\"3257\" data-end=\"3327\">and a barrel-aged Santorini expression by Avantis \u2013 Anhydrous Winery<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"3329\" data-end=\"3454\">For many, the evening reinforced why Assyrtiko remains one of the most compelling white grape varieties in the Mediterranean.<\/p><hr
