Cinque Wine & Deli received Gold in the Gastronomy & Wine Tourism category at the Tourism Awards 2025. The organiser’s official winners list records the entry as “Προορισμός γαστρονομικής απόλαυσης”.

The award recognises a journey shaped by Greek wine, selected food products and personal hospitality. This article was published in January 2026 and looks back at the 2025 distinction.

Greek wine at the centre

Cinque was created as a place where guests could discover wine through its people, regions and varieties. Guided tastings and food pairings offer a way into this world, with room for questions and conversation.

For our team, the award is encouragement to continue sharing Greece’s wine culture with care and enthusiasm.

A continuing journey of recognition

The Tourism Awards archive also records Cinque’s Silver distinction in 2024, while the official 2019 results record Silver for wine culture. The Gold award in 2025 is another chapter in that journey.

The people behind the experience

The original award announcement thanked the teams at the Athens locations operating during that period: Psirri, Monastiraki and Acropolis. The Acropolis/Koukaki location closed in late 2025 and is mentioned here as part of the history of the award.

Nikitas Prassas, oenologist and sommelier, accepted the award on behalf of the team. His work in wine education and presentation forms part of the shared effort behind the Cinque experience.

A shared achievement

Our guests, producers, partners and friends all contribute to the journey. Their curiosity, support and enthusiasm encourage us to introduce more people to Greek wine and the food that belongs with it.

Continuing the Greek Wine Journey

We continue to build experiences around knowledge, personal contact and the pleasure of sharing a table. The award is a welcome milestone, and the daily work of hospitality remains our focus.
