#Winelover 10th Anniversary — A Community That Calls Cinque Home
The June 2022 anniversary, a meeting point in Monastiraki and friendships built through Greek wine.

The international #winelover community’s tenth anniversary brought friends back to Greece in June 2022. For Cinque, it was a reunion with people connected through years of tastings, travel and conversations about wine.
The relationship had continued even when travel was restricted, through virtual tastings and online gatherings. Meeting again in person gave those shared experiences a familiar setting.
A relationship built over time
Visits to Cinque, journeys through Greek wine regions and conversations about varieties and producers had gradually built a bond with the community. Members returned to people and places they already knew.
That continuity mattered. A tasting could begin where an earlier conversation had ended, with new wines and stories added to an existing friendship.
Cinque as the anniversary meeting point
The community’s published April 2022 programme named Cinque wine bar at Voreou 10, Monastiraki as its headquarters for the anniversary welcome. The outline scheduled the welcome gathering for Friday 10 June, followed by visits to wine regions over the weekend.
The designation concerned the anniversary programme and reflected Cinque’s role as a familiar gathering place. It does not imply a separate permanent office of the community at every Cinque location.
From virtual connection to reunion
Cinque’s own account of the anniversary also records a Naoussa tasting on 9 June 2022, led by Nikitas Prassas together with Luiz Alberto. Guests gathered to reconnect, exchange stories and explore the wines.
The wine gave the reunion a focus, while the conversation reflected a decade of shared interests and friendships. After the period of online meetings, being around the same table again had its own value.
Why a place becomes familiar
For returning visitors, a place can become part of a longer journey. Familiar faces, careful explanations and a welcome that leaves room for conversation all contribute to that feeling.
This anniversary showed how wine hospitality can support relationships over time. The experience continues through the people who return, the questions they bring and the new guests they introduce.
