A 2020 gathering around Mavrostyfo, a personal connection and a dessert created for the occasion.

Following the reopening after the first lockdown in 2020, Cinque welcomed an intimate gathering around Titanas, the sweet wine of Domaine Skouras. Twelve wine lovers came together for an evening connecting a producer, a wine and a personal memory.
The gathering grew from a meeting between George Skouras and wine enthusiast S. Georgiadis. At its heart was Mavrostyfo from Argos, the variety behind Titanas.
A wine with a personal connection
Our account of the evening records a particularly moving moment: George Skouras spoke about Nikitas Prassas’s earlier involvement at the estate. In 2014, during his experience there, Nikitas had participated in bâtonnage work on the wine under the winemaking team’s guidance.
Years later, tasting it at Cinque brought that memory back to the table. The original video preserves a moment from the presentation and the connection between the people involved.
A dessert created for the evening
The wine was accompanied by a cheesecake developed for the occasion. A handmade almond-and-butter biscuit base supported a cream of anthotyro cheese and yogurt, finished with sour cherries and Mavrostyfo jelly.
The pairing was designed around the wine’s sweetness, acidity and structure. It gave the guests another way to explore Titanas, through the conversation between the wine and the dessert.
A keepsake for each guest
Each dessert was served in an individual jar personalised with the guest’s name. A commemorative badge and a booklet accompanied the evening, with information about the region, the wine, the winery and the dessert recipe.
Those details were part of this particular event. They helped turn a tasting into a personal memory that guests could take home.
