Our participation in the 2025 celebration, and the six-wine Signature Tasting that brings the journey to the table.

Great Greek Wines 2025 brought together the people, places and ideas shaping the contemporary Greek vineyard. Cinque was proud to support the event as a sponsor and to share the celebration with producers, wine professionals and fellow wine lovers.
The organiser records the awards ceremony on 22 May 2025 at the Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens. Its main selection recognised 65 wines. This was the Great Greek Wines event; the Tourism Awards were a separate distinction in Cinque’s 2025 journey.
A celebration of terroir, people and passion
The Cinque family joined the event to taste, meet producers and support the work behind Greek wine. We shared glasses with old friends and met new faces, with each conversation revealing something about a vineyard, a variety or a winemaker’s choices.
These meetings remind us why we make space for Greek wine every day: guests should have the chance to understand it, enjoy it and discover the people who give it its character.
Bringing the experience to Cinque
The idea continued at Cinque through the Great Greek Wines – Signature Tasting. Inspired by the Great Greek Wines platform, the experience connects a curated selection of bottles with the regions, styles and stories behind them.
The current tasting includes six Greek wines, 75 ml each, selected from a wider collection of 50 labels. The number 50 refers to that wider collection, not the number of wines served in one session or the total number of 2025 award winners.
A guided tasting with food
Created by Nikitas Prassas, oenologist and ASI Certified Sommelier, the tasting explores different regions, grape varieties and approaches to winemaking. Greek cheeses and selected bites accompany the wines, with guidance from the Cinque team.
The published experience lasts approximately two hours and is offered in Greek, English and French. The booking page provides the available locations, dates, price and current terms.
Recognition that leads to discovery
An award can be the start of a conversation. Tasting the wine, learning about its origin and comparing it with another expression turns that recognition into a personal experience.
