Goût de France 2019: Cinque at the French Embassy in Athens
French cheeses, homemade chutneys and a meeting of gastronomic cultures in March 2019.

In March 2019, Cinque Wine & Deli took part in a Goût de France gathering at the French Embassy in Athens. The occasion brought French gastronomy into conversation with the people and flavours of the city.
For our team, it was an opportunity to share the pleasure of a carefully prepared table: ingredients with character, combinations that invite curiosity and hospitality built around the people enjoying them.
A taste of France in Athens
Cinque’s contribution combined French cheeses with homemade chutneys and our signature loukoumi. Savoury, sweet and fruit-led flavours offered different starting points for conversation around the table.
The embassy setting gave the evening a particular character. Our account of the occasion records a large gathering of guests drawn together by food, culture and the pleasure of sharing.
A conversation through taste
Greek wine remains at the heart of Cinque’s identity. Taking part in a celebration of French cuisine offered another way to explore the care, curiosity and generosity that connect gastronomic traditions.
A cheese, a chutney or a small sweet can open a conversation about where food comes from and how we enjoy it. Those exchanges are as much a part of hospitality as the food itself.
A moment from our story
This March 2019 occasion belongs to Cinque’s event archive. We remember it as a meeting of cultures through taste, and as an invitation to keep discovering what different tables can teach us.
