OUR SUNDAY IS TUESDAY: the Tuesday table in Psirri

Updated 18 October 2026: our weekly table moves to Tuesday from 20 October. Psirri is open Tuesday–Saturday, 18:00–00:00, and closed Sunday and Monday.

At our first table in October, Cinque Wine Bar Psirri — The Founders’ Edition brought dolmadakia, tzatziki and a suggested Retsina pairing to the table. Join us from 18:00, until the day’s dish sells out.

Our week begins around the table

Some tables stay with us because of the people around them. A story someone shared, a familiar flavour, a glass of wine that made us linger a little longer. This is the feeling we want Tuesdays at Cinque Psirri to have.

OUR SUNDAY IS TUESDAY brings the warmth of a Sunday gathering to the beginning of the week. Greg and Evangelia welcome you to the original Cinque, where our Greek wine journey began in 2015.

The first table: Dolmadakia · Tzatziki · Retsina

Our first table in October began with dolmadakia, tzatziki and Retsina as our suggested wine pairing. Familiar Greek flavours invite us to sit together and start the week at a more personal pace.

The dish is available from 18:00 until it sells out. Each Tuesday will have its own proposal; future dishes will be announced separately.

From The Grocer’s Shelf to our table

Our inspiration begins with the old Greek grocery shop: its shelves, its everyday products and the way a simple visit could turn into time spent together. A tin was opened, bread was cut, a small plate of meze was placed in the middle. In the grocery shop and the neighbourhood kafeneio, “sit down, let me offer you something” brought people closer.

That scene gave us ideas for Cinque today. We created The Grocer’s Shelf: a selection of familiar Greek flavours that also have a place at our table. Olives, pickles, honey and spoon sweets become accompaniments, small bites and starting points for pairings with Greek wine.

The same inspiration shaped ESTORA — a contemporary Greek take on the grocer’s kolatsio, the simple snack assembled from the grocer’s ingredients. Stone-baked bread, Greek cheeses and cured meats, extra virgin olive oil, herbs and selected accompaniments bring those flavours into a snack made with our own care and combinations.

Every Tuesday, the story continues around the table. With OUR SUNDAY IS TUESDAY, we want to revive the spirit of that spontaneous offering: opening something from the shelf, placing a little meze in the middle, suggesting a Greek wine and making time for company. Greg and Evangelia welcome you to Cinque Psirri in that spirit.

Our first table in October featured dolmadakia, tzatziki and a suggested Retsina pairing, from 18:00 until the dish sells out. From the grocer’s shelf to ESTORA and on to our Tuesday table, the idea stays the same: simple Greek flavours are even more enjoyable when we share them.
