The Greek Honey & Cheese Tasting Experience is a guided sensory journey into one of Greece’s most ancient and treasured foods: honey.

This experience invites you to explore the diversity, depth and cultural significance of Greek honey through a carefully curated tasting, paired with authentic Greek cheeses and enriched with storytelling, education and myth.

Hosted across selected locations of the Cinque Wine & Deli network, the experience allows you to choose the Cinque setting that best fits your visit to Athens.

Four Greek Honeys, Four Stories

You will taste four different Greek honeys, each sourced from a different region and plant, showcasing the remarkable diversity of Greek terroir:

• Wild thyme honey – intense, aromatic and bold, shaped by harsh terrains and traditionally valued for its restorative properties

• Meloura from Kastoria – dark in colour, rich in antioxidants and character, prized despite its non-commercial appearance

• Citrus blossom honey – vibrant orange aroma, naturally fragrant and nutritionally rich

• A rare, highly prized Greek honey variety – historically associated with medicinal use and considered a true delicacy

Each honey is presented with context, origin and tasting guidance to help you understand its flavour, texture and cultural importance.

Greek Cheese Pairing

Complementing the honey tasting are three freshly cut Greek cheeses, carefully selected to:

• balance sweetness and intensity

• highlight texture contrasts

• elevate the character of each honey

The pairing is designed to feel natural and approachable, focusing on harmony rather than complexity.
